Book a School Initiative

At the Book Nook, we believe that every child deserves access to the transformative power of literature. That’s why we’re passionate about the “Book a School Initiative,” a project aimed at revitalizing school libraries in slum communities in Nigeria, starting with Jos, Plateau State.

These communities face numerous challenges, including poverty, crime, drug abuse, inadequate infrastructure, and limited access to education and resources. Our goal is to create vibrant school libraries that provide students in these slum communities with a safe and stimulating environment to explore the world of books and cultivate a love for learning.

Through this initiative, we will donate books, organize creative workshops and interactive sessions, and host intellectually stimulating competitions. We believe that by fostering a love of reading and learning, we can empower these students to break the cycle of poverty and build a better future for themselves and their communities.
